Biography
As a public servant for 35+ years (including 22+ years in the U.S. Air Force), Rod enjoys the excitement of supporting critical business strategies and missions using an innovative spirit, growth mindset, adaptive management and leadership methodologies, and organizational, personal, and professional development. He has over 30 years of experience in Leadership (military, public and private sector) as well as areas of Project/Portfolio management, Information Technology (IT), and people building and development.
Rod began coaching in 2016 and built the basis of his coaching philosophy on the understanding that every client is creative, resourceful, and whole. He focuses on strengths rather weaknesses to help clients gain self-awareness and perspective on their personal challenges – inspiring them to maximize their personal and professional potential in self-confidence, relationships, communication skills, and so much more. His non-judgmental, confidential coaching creates a safe environment conducive to growth. He focuses on creative problem solving and utilizes accountability; and will work with you to help you increase follow through, reach your goals, and achieve success. Rod’s core values include Family, Growth, Passion, Integrity, Commitment, and Creativity/Innovation. He believes that we are people of value who value others and want to increase value for others.
Rod holds a Master’s degree in Technology Leadership from Georgetown University and two bachelor’s degrees from Saint Leo University, BA in Business Administration and a BS in Computer Information Systems and is a member of the Florida Lambda Chapter of Pi Gamma Mu, International Honor Society in Social Sciences. Rod also holds two certificates from Cornell University, Executive Leadership Certificate and High-Performance Leadership Certificate.
He is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC), International Coaching Federation (ICF), Board Certified Coach, Center for Credential & Education (CCE), and Certified Coach, Speaker and Trainer with the John Maxwell Leadership Foundation.
