According to the Center for Creative Leadership, leaders report conflict is regular and constant in their workplaces. They also say confronting others and managing conflict are two of the most difficult tasks they face. Since conflict is inevitable and carries the potential for great outcomes, developing conflict management skills is critical for personal and organizational success. The Conflict Dynamics Profile (CDP) is an assessment tool designed to help individuals understand how they manage and cope with conflict and how their actions are interpreted by others. The CDP focuses on behaviors people typically display when faced with conflict in the workplace.
Internal and external coaches can become certified to purchase and administer the CDP tools for use in leader and team coaching by attending a certification program offered in Richmond on Oct. 28. Self-study prior to the session is required, so advance registration of Oct. 21 or earlier is suggested. The session will be held Wednesday, Oct. 28 from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm at the Westwood Club. Cost is $995 (includes self study materials, session materials, free CDP 360 for later use with a client, and lunch).
ICF has approved the session for 7 hours Coaching CEUs. Read more and see sample reports at www.conflictdynamics.org.
