Program Description:

What would you do if someone filed a complaint against you? Where would you turn? What are your options? Join us and learn what you need to know!

Janine Schindler, MCC and member of ICF’s Ethical Conduct Review Board will share the stories, the process and what to do if it happens to you. Learn about the typical complaints brought against coaches so you can avoid them. Know the ways you can file a complaint in case you need to.

The ICF sets professional coaching standards and provides consumers with a venue to file ethics complaints about its Members, Credential-holders and ICF-accredited training programs. Through the Code of Ethics, Ethical Conduct Review Process, Program Complaint Process and Independent Review Board (IRB), ICF provides standards and processes to ensure accountability for all parties.

Three things you will learn:

  1. What you need to know if you are accused of unethical conduct
  2. How the ICF Ethical Conduct Review Process works to address complaints
  3. Possible remedial actions and sanctions used in the complaint resolution process
