Brunch & Coaching Practicum
We are kicking off the New Year with a new format!
Are there any specific areas of your coaching toolkit you would like to focus on developing? Perhaps specific coaching competencies you would like to hone or observe how others address in their styles? Is there something you are working on where you could benefit from having a peer coaching session?
If you answered Yes to any of these, then this year’s annual practicum experience is one for you to attend.
As members of this coaching community, we have the opportunity to strengthen and continuously push our coaching growth edges. In this 2 hr practicum, you will participate in a triad format in 3 different roles– coach, coachee and observer. To this small group, you will bring an intention of the coaching area or competency you would like to develop further, as well as a topic of interest you’d like some coaching on. As observer of the coach, you have the opportunity to hone your observational skills to that coach’s area of interest and provide developmental feedback to them accordingly. As this triad, you will coach, be coached and learn from each other.
As facilitators of this session, we commit to creating an open and supportive environment for your experience. As participants of this session, we hope you leave feeling confident, connected, inspired and engaged.
Learning Objectives:
- To coach in a supportive environment for continuous improvement of self-identified coaching competencies of interest
- To identify coaching competencies used in an effective coaching session
- To leverage observational skills for providing developmental feedback
- To explore receiving developmental coaching feedback
- To connect and engage with peers and members in our ICF chapter
