Mastermind: At the intersection of Cancer, Caring and Coaching
Facilitated by Alexa Beavers, PCC,  PMP -- ICF Virginia Past Board President

Join us for an important coaching mastermind conversation hosted by Alexa Beavers, PCC, a Past President of ICF Virginia and a dedicated advocate for leukemia and lymphoma patients and their families. In this session, we will delve into the crucial role of coaches in supporting clients and families facing challenging life circumstances such as cancer diagnosis, a chronic or terminal illness, bereavement, and other significant challenges.

Our round table discussion will underscore the importance of coaches in embracing the "whole human" experience. Together, we will explore various coaching approaches tailored to support clients when illness or loss becomes a focal point of their coaching agenda. We will reflect on the diverse range of coaching moves available to us, from accompaniment, enabling letting go, holding space to feel and acknowledge, and cultivating empathy to fostering resilience, presence and empowerment in our clients. As coaches, we understand the delicate balance between offering support and respecting the boundaries of coaching, counseling, and therapy. We will discuss navigating these distinctions while ensuring that our coaching practices remain ethical and effective.

Participants are invited to share their insights and experiences in accompanying clients through such profound life transitions. Our aim is to create a space where knowledge is freely exchanged, and every voice is valued. Through equitable participation and collaborative dialogue, we will deepen our understanding of how coaches can truly make a difference in the lives of those navigating difficult circumstances.

Join us for an enriching conversation that promises to inspire and empower us as coaches, as we continue to uphold our commitment to supporting clients through every twist and turn of their journey.
