Using Masterminding to Grow Your Coaching Practice

In his well-known book, “Think and Grow Rich,” Napoleon Hill talked about something called a “mastermind alliance.” He goes on to describe a mastermind group as, “A friendly alliance with one or more persons who will encourage one to follow through with both plan and purpose.”

To Hill, mastermind groups are established to help create an environment that nurtures and supports growth. Hill believed that harmonious groups of two or more people who come together for a specific purpose, or around a specific topic, bring forth the power of creativity and support that you can’t find when you go it alone.

Isn’t this one of the reasons why you are a coach?  You bring benefits to your clients by being there for them, helping them explore possibilities and solutions that they could not do themselves.  The Hampton Roads ICF wants you to reap these same benefits so you can bring even more value to your clients.

The Master Mind™ Principle also teaches that other like-minded individuals can believe for you—AND ACCEPT AS TRUE FOR YOU— things you may find difficult to conceive or believe for yourself. As a result, thousands of people have demonstrated dramatic, positive changes in their lives, and have experienced happy, successful living.

Hampton Roads coach, Lisa Smith, will provide an experiential learning opportunity for you on MasterMind groups.  After forming one or two groups, she will guide you as you actively participate in a MasterMind session.  You will get the chance to share and ask for feedback, resources, and support about a real life coaching or business issue or need you have.

There will also be time to discuss your interest in creating an ongoing MasterMind group as part of your membership or affiliation within the ICF Virginia Hampton Roads Region.
