Biography
I love coaching professionals, at all levels, reclaim choice and control over their careers and (re)balance their lives in ways that work for each unique person. High performers know how to do things right. I support my clients in identifying the right things to do to achieve both their professional and personal goals. I have particular experience working with clients navigating career transitions, career reinventions, toxic work environments and uncertainty. I help clients connect with their strengths to overcome burnout, overwhelm, indecision and procrastination and move forward with their goals.
With more than 20 years’ experience in marketing and professional development in corporate law, banking and insurance industries, I am well versed in the demands, stresses and personal sacrifices to maintain the corporate status quo. I am passionate about helping professionals stuck and disengaged find the clarity, motivation and vision to create a new, sustainable path forward. By defining our values, aligning our beliefs with actions, connecting with our strengths, and being aware of and seeking support for weaknesses, we become happier, more engaged, and higher performing.
I received my BA degree in Economics from the University of Virginia. I am FLOW Certified Professional Coach and member of the International Coaching Federation. I am also certified as a BetterUp Core Foundations Coach and a Certified Myers Briggs Type Indicator Practitioner.
My coach training is based on the work of positive psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, who explored the flow state. This framework focuses on building self-awareness around our unique strengths and values and tapping into inner motivation to solve problems, achieve goals and create sustainable behavior changes that improve our personal and professional lives.
I live in Richmond, Virginia with my orange tabby cat, Willie. I love spending time with family and friends, travel, music, cooking, gardening, and lifting weights.
