DATE / TIME (TIME ZONE): Wednesday, December 9, 2026, 3:30-5:00 ET                  PRESENTER NAMES:
Dina Venezky & Laura Reid
CCE BREAKDOWN: 1.5 CC
HOST CHAPTER:   San Francisco Bay Area Chapter
HOST CHAPTER CONTACT NAME: Dina Venezky

DESCRIPTION:

Words have the power to shape not only our perception of reality, but also how we engage with the world around us. In this 90-minute experiential workshop, attendees will explore how the vocabulary coaches and clients use can foster a spirit of curiosity and action. Ultimately, the goal with our clients is to co-create an accessible map they’re excited to use, not an overwhelming obstacle course they’re never able to start.

Participants will experiment with techniques to help clients strategically choose what to put on their map. They’ll learn to harness language as a tool for cultivating a more proactive, goal-oriented mindset, and for helping clients recognize blind spots and gaps in their planning. A central theme of this workshop is that facilitating client growth isn't a checkbox confined to the final minutes — it runs through every part of a coaching conversation, drawing on the full range of ICF core competencies.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
-Identify opportunities to facilitate growth throughout the entire arc of client conversations
-Implement techniques to help clients create a robust plan for post-session activation
-Transform action planning into an experience that drives motivation

SPEAKER BIO:
Dina Venezky, PhD, PCC-ACTC, BCC, is a leadership coach who helps curious people and teams navigate the relational dynamics that shape their work and lives. She partners with clients to reflect on how their strengths and narratives can lead to greater fulfillment. With diverse expertise spanning senior communications roles at Smith College, Stanford GSB Executive Education, and the USGS Volcano Hazards Program, plus experience in data analytics consulting, marketing, HR, and entrepreneurship, Dina brings a multifaceted perspective to her coaching practice. Dina earned her PhD from Brown University, where she studied volcanoes and investigated innovative approaches to knowledge sharing. https://www.sparklingleaders.com/

Laura Reid, PCC, Certified MentorCoach®, Professional Certified ADHD Coach, transforms stress into curiosity. She loves helping people live more intentionally, and work with – rather than against – the way they’re wired. Laura studied what makes people tick at Stanford, both from the inside out and through the lens of group dynamics (BA Psychology, MA Sociology). She loves exploring the stories we tell ourselves (consciously or unconsciously), and how they shape the way we engage with life. Laura partners with clients to untangle the web of interconnected factors preventing progress, and to create a new, resonant narrative that will propel them forward. www.resonantlivingcoaching.com
